
Here’s the weather outlook for India:
Saturday (April 22)
- Widespread rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall will lash Arunachal Pradesh.
- Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim.
- Scattered rain and thunderstorms are forecast over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.
- Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh may experience hailstorms locally.
- Isolated rain is likely over Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, East Madhya Pradesh, Marathawada, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka.
Sunday (April 23)
- Widespread rain and thunderstorms are possible over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim.
- Scattered rain and thunderstorms are predicted over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.
- Odisha may experience hailstorms locally.
- Isolated rain is likely over Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka.
- Maximum temperatures of 40°C or more may hit Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

A Western Disturbance present along Long. 73°E to the north of Lat. 30°N, may result in isolated rains over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Saturday (April 22).
Further, a trough running from Vidarbha to Tamil Nadu with moisture flows are likely to produce “isolated” to “scattered” rain with thunderstorms over Central and South India in this forecast period. In particular, hailstorms may lash Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on Saturday (April 22), Odisha on Sunday (April 23), and Bihar on Monday (April 24). Further, light isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds are very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during the next five days.
Moist southwesterly flows will continue to bring intermittent rain over Northeast India, mainly over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Isolated heavy rainfall (≧65mm/day) is also predicted on Saturday (April 22).
Dry weather is expected to prevail in other areas in this forecast period.
Maximum temperatures will remain below-normal in much of the country, especially in the eastern parts of India. Heatwave conditions are expected to subside for about a week.
Overnight minimums will be near normal or slightly lower than normal in many parts of the country.
