Meanwhile, a western disturbance persists as a trough in lower and middle tropospheric levels. While a cyclonic circulation lies over Northeast Rajasthan and the neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels. Another fresh western disturbance will likely affect Northwest India from the night of May 5.
As a result, fresh rainfall may commence over the region from May 5, with scattered to fairly widespread rain or snow impacting the Western Himalayan Region and isolated to scattered rainfall over the plains of Northwest India for the subsequent 2-3 days.
Furthermore, a trough or wind discontinuity runs from Southwest Madhya Pradesh to South Tamil Nadu. A cyclonic circulation persists over North Tamil Nadu, while another cyclonic circulation lies over South Chhattisgarh in the lower tropospheric levels.
