Indore: Despite second phase of counselling at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, a significant number of students have failed to confirm their admissions by paying the required fees, leaving 542 seats vacant across 40 integrated undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including the newly introduced five dual-degree programmes.
Among the dual degree courses, MTech (BTech+MTech, Energy and Environmental Engineering) has the most number of seats vacant. Out of a total 30 seats allotted for the course only seven have been taken after two rounds of counselling leaving 23 seats vacant. In other four dual degree programmes, only four to five seats in each are left vacant.
In other courses in which seats are vacant include BA Journalism, LLB, MSc Data Science, MA Journalism, MTech Energy, MBA Hospital Administration, MBA APR, MBA Business Economics, MBA Entrepreneurship, MBA Foreign Trade, MBA Tourism, and MBA.
Now, DAVV is set to hold college level counselling on October 4 and 5. But, preference will be given to students, who have appeared for the CUET. The counselling will be conducted by 12 departments, including IMS, IIPS,Law, EMRC, journalism and commerce.
In the CLC round, preference will be given to students, who appeared for Common University Entrance Test and seats will be allotted to them based on merit. Following this, remaining seats will be made available to students, who have completed their class 12 and graduation, but they will be required to pay an additional fee of Rs 1500 upon admission.

The Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council will announce the seat allotment result for UPJEE Pharmacy Counselling 2023 on September 28. Candidates can check their status on the official website and confirm their seat and make fee payments between September 29 and October 1. Document verification will be conducted until October 1, and the balance admission fee can be paid until October 15. The academic session for 2023-24 will begin on November 1. There will be five rounds of counselling for JEECUP 2023, including a special phase for candidates from other states.
