DEHRADUN: On the eve of his govt completing 2 yrs, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami told TOI on Friday that he was now gearing up to tackle the 2 biggest challenges facing the state – migration from hills and lack of employment opportunities for the youth.

Pointing out that his govt had “started schemes to provide jobs to thousands of youth”, Dhami said, “Projects like CM Swarozgar Yojana, financial assistance to women self-help groups and support to horticulture and agricultural schemes are aimed at providing earning opportunities in the hills.

In the days to come, we will be focusing on more such initiatives that help create jobs and also stem the problem of migration from villages.” Listing the achievements of his govt, the CM said, “In past 24 months, we have come up with several laws.”
