Khurana’s father is an engineer by profession and his source of inspiration. He spoke to indianexpress.com and shared how he is preparing for JEE Advanced 2023.
When did I first hear about IITs?
I got to know about Indian Institutes of Technology and the process to get into it in Class 9. Since my father is an electrical engineer, I also wanted to follow the same profession. I also had an inclination towards mathematics since childhood, so engineering feels all the more natural to me.
What do I want to pursue?
I want to pursue Computer Science Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. I have an interest in Computer Science and coding and I have studied it till Class 10. I couldn’t study it in the Classes 11 and 12 due to JEE preparation. I have also done courses in Python.
My study schedule
I wake up at around 9 o’clock and study till 3 pm. I have joined Allen Bangalore and have classes from 3 pm to 8 pm. I return home at around 9 pm and have dinner, then I study again from 10 pm to 12 am.
My revision strategy
Since the course is completed, I do regular revisions with mock tests and worksheets provided by the coaching. I also regularly revise from NCERT and the study material which has been provided by my coaching.
Books I referred to
NCERT is a must for all three subjects, apart from that I referred to HC Verma and Irodov for Physics. For Mathematics, I took help from Vikas Gupta and the study material provided by my coaching. For Chemistry, I stuck to NCERT, coaching study material and notes provided by my teachers.
What I do to relax?
When I get overwhelmed with studies or get bored of constantly studying, I play cricket with my brother or listen to music in order to relax.
