Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has made a big claim and said that their team bus was pelted with stones in Bengaluru in 2005. There was no such incident reported during that time.
Afridi’s claim doesn’t seem to be true as there was no such incident reported during that time. Also, the visiting side stayed in India for the next 20 days and took part in a six-match ODI series. The Test series ended in a 1-1 draw. India were 2-0 ahead in the ODI series before Pakistan bounced back to win the next four matches.
Talking of the 2023 ODI World Cup, Pakistan are confirmed to travel to India as the ICC has announced the schedule of the ICC event. India will not be traveling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
The BCCI had already announced that the Indian players will not travel to Pakistan and that their matches should be played at a neutral venue. Asia Cup will be played in a hybrid model and the majority of matches will be played in Sri Lanka. India and Pakistan will lock horns twice in the Continental tournament in Sri Lanka.
After Asia Cup, the Men in Green will land in India for the ICC event. Pakistan are scheduled to play their matches in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata.
