Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Display Specifications Surfaced
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be a premium foldable phone launching later this year. It is tipped to launch in July. Ahead of the launch, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 display details have leaked online. According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will sport a 3.4-inch cover display. The outer display covers almost half the rear panel, leaving room at the top corner for the dual-camera setup and an LED flash.
Samsung has moved one of the camera sensor cutouts and the LED flash, positioning them horizontally next to each other instead of in a vertical array.Â
The tipster also revealed that the cover display will have a 305 PPI pixel density and a 720 x 748 screen resolution. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a tiny 1.9-inch cover display with a screen resolution of 260 x 512 pixels.Â
Other details about the upcoming clamshell foldable phone from Samsung have leaked as well. Recently-leaked design renders suggest that the foldable phone has a 120Hz AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. There is a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. As per rumours, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a 6.7-inch foldable display with a new waterdrop hinge design to reduce the gap between the display when folded.
It will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with a 3.36GHz peak clock speed, according to a Geekbench listing. There will be at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on offer. The foldable phone will boot Android 13-based One UI 5 on top.
There will be a 12MP front camera. The dual-camera setup on the back is likely to feature a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. However, it is likely that Samsung might upgrade the main camera and launch the Flip 5 with a 50MP sensor.Â
The battery details of the phone are unknown. However, it is likely to feature 25W fast charging out of the box. Lastly, it is tipped to be available in Beige, Grey, Light Green and Light Pink colour options. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Samsung foldable phone? Let us know in the comments below.
