The smartphone is expected to be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo which has already debuted in China and comes powered with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.
A recent spec reveal further asserts the claim of the upcoming Poco F5 being a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo as Snapdragon India has confirmed in an official tweet that the upcoming Poco F5 will also be powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. This makes the Poco F5 the first smartphone in India to feature this chip, just as we said in an earlier report when Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 mobile platform.

Chipmaker Qualcomm claims that the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC comes with CPU, GPU, and power efficiency enhancements from its predecessor Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It is also said to contribute to better photography, videography, and more such capabilities. Here are all the details of the new chipset.
So if the Poco F5 is actually a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo, then it might feature the following specifications and features.
It can be expected to get a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 64 MP primary camera with OIS, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W fast wired charging support. It will likely run on Android 13-based MIUI 14.
Moreover, being the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC in India will make it highly sought after among mobile gamers and other tech enthusiasts.
