PM Modi Inaugurates AIIMS Guwahati and IIT College, Launches First North-East Vande Bharat Express Train and More
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Assam on Thursday to inaugurate several development projects in the state. During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Changsari and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Guwahati. He also laid the foundation stone for the new campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Barshapara in Guwahati.
Apart from these, the Prime Minister also launched several other development projects worth over Rs. 14,000 crore. These include the construction of new highways, bridges, and airports, as well as the expansion of existing infrastructure. The projects are expected to create job opportunities and promote economic growth in the state.
In addition to inaugurating development projects, Modi also participated in the Bihu dance, a traditional dance form of Assam, during his visit. The Prime Minister was seen enjoying the performance and even tried his hand at playing the traditional musical instrument, the ‘dhol’.
Addressing the gathering at the event, the Prime Minister said that the development projects launched during his visit to Assam are aimed at transforming the lives of the people in the state. He said that the new infrastructure will enhance connectivity and improve access to education and healthcare in the region.
Modi also highlighted the importance of the North-East region in the development of India and said that his government is committed to the overall growth and progress of the region. He said that the government has launched several initiatives and schemes, such as the Act East Policy and the North East Industrial Development Scheme, to promote economic growth and development in the region.
The Prime Minister also praised the people of Assam for their contribution to the development of the country and said that their hard work and dedication have helped in building a strong and prosperous India.
The Prime Minister’s visit to Assam marks a significant milestone in the development of the state and the entire North-East region.
