“There is absolutely no truth in all these rumoured reports, such as a girl being asked to remove her bra. We have not received any complaints or reports from any of our centres. Such reports are spread as some people cannot stomach the fact that an exam of this level was conducted smoothly,” a senior official told indianexpress.com.
Over 20 lakh aspirants registered for the NEET UG.
The NTA official also added that some of the reports that were being circulated were from previous years, and no such incidents have been reported this year.
“We did receive one report from West Bengal where a student who was wearing cargo pants (ones with a lot of pockets), that was strictly against the dress code mentioned by us,” the official added.
The NEET UG 2023 exam was successfully held at over 4000 centres across the country on Sunday (May 7). The NEET UG 2023 answer key is expected to release by next week. This year, experts are predicting that the general category cut-off this year will be around 710-124, while it will be 130-98 for OBC candidates, 120-95 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 118-92 for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students.
