Nokia C22 With Android 13 Go Edition Launched in India

The Nokia C22 which was announced at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year has been launched in India.. The new offering from Nokia is an entry-level smartphone that is priced under Rs 10,000 in India. The smartphone features some advanced features such as water resistance, but essentially packs lightweight hardware including Android Go Edition software, dual cameras and a large battery.

Nokia C22: Features and Specifications

The Nokia C22 features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 20:9 aspect ratio and a water drop notch. Built out of plastic, the smartphone is offered in three colour variants. The smartphone is also protected with IP52 rating for water and dust resistance.

The smartphone runs on Android 13 (Go Edition) with a near stock Android experience. Users can access lite versions of Google apps which take up less resources to run. Under the hood, the Nokia C22 runs on an octa-core UniSoc processor and is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also supports memory expansion up to 256GB storage using a microSD card into a shared slot. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

For optics, the Nokia C22 sports a 13MP primary camera along with a 2MP macro camera. On the front is an 8MP camera for selfies housed in a water drop notch. It’s a 4G smartphone with Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS support.

The smartphone runs on a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging over a Type-C port.

Nokia C22: Price and Availability

The Nokia C22 is available in two variants with 2GB and 4GB RAM, both with 2GB virtual RAM and 64GB storage. There are three colours to choose from – Charcoal, Sand, and Purple. The base variant starts at Rs 7,999.

Nokia has partnered with Reliance Jio to provide postpaid plan users with benefits up to Rs 3,500 as 100GB additional data and additional coupons worth Rs 1,000. The coupons include a 3-month subscription to EazyDiner, Rs 750 off on flight tickets on IXIGO, and 3-month subscription to ET Prime at Rs 49.
