By Ankita Garg: Croma is hosting a new brand-specific sale on its platform and is offering decent discounts on Apple products. The banner for the sale event on the e-commerce platform claims that the iPhone 13 is available at an effective price of Rs 38,990, whereas the iPhone 14 is selling for Rs 46,990. But, are these actually selling at almost half the price? The answer is no. Here is everything you need to know.
Croma’s sale page on the website claims that consumers can buy the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 for less than 47,000 with some offers. But, once you visit the product pages of these iPhones on Croma, the website is not selling them at the promised prices. Though, it is giving some discounts on both flagship phones. But they are not available at almost half the prices as shown on Croma’s banner for the sale event.
The iPhone 13 is listed on Croma with a price tag of Rs 61,900. The original price of this 5G phone is Rs 69,900 on Apple’s online store, which means that consumers are getting a flat discount of Rs 8,000 on Croma without any terms or conditions. There is also an additional Rs 2,000 discount offer on HDFC bank credit cards, which will effectively bring down the price to Rs 59,900. Do keep in mind that you will have to pay more for a charger because Apple doesn’t bundle this in the retail box along with the smartphone.
The iPhone 14, on the other hand, is listed on Croma with a price tag of Rs 71,990. It was launched in India for Rs 79,900. So, you are getting a flat discount of Rs 7,910 without any offer or condition. There is an additional Rs 4,000 off on HDFC bank credit cards, which effectively brings down the price of the iPhone 14 to Rs 67,990. You don’t get a charger with this either and so, you will have to spend more on this too.
Though, I would suggest you buy the iPhone 13 over the iPhone 14 because they have the same features and you are getting the older version at a very low price. In addition to this, there are exchange offers available as well on Croma, which one can check out to avail even more discount. But, don’t go by the sale teasers as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 are not actually selling for Rs 38,990 and Rs 46,990, respectively.
