By India Today Education Desk: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 on May 7, 2023. As per the information, this year, more than 20 lakh applicants have applied for this medical examination, out of which an increase in the percentage of female candidates has been witnessed compared to male candidates. NTA has closed the registration process and is now expected to release the exam city slips and admit card for the NEET UG on the official website, i.e., neet.nta.nic.in.
NUMBER OF FEMALE CANDIDATES
A total of 20.8 lakh candidates applied for the NEET UG 2023 on May 7. Of these, 11.8 female and 9 lakh male candidates have applied for the undergraduate medical entrance exam.
A total of 20,87,445 candidates are registered with the NTA. Compared with last year, there is an increase of 2.57 lakh candidates registered. The number of applications for NEET UG 2022 increased by 11.5 percent overall.
