The last date to apply for NEET UG 2023 was April 15, 2023 after the registration process was reopened on April 12.
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 7, 2023 from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The entrance exam will be conducted in the pen-and-paper mode in 13 languages.

NEET is conducted for admissions to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions. The NEET score will also be used for aspirants of the Military Nursing Scheme (MNS) seeking admission to the BSc Nursing course which is conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals.
NEET (UG) 2023: Qualifying Criteria
– The candidates appearing for the qualifying exam (class 12) can give the NEET exam, but shall not be eligible for admission in undergraduate courses if the qualifying pass percentage is not met at the time of the first round of counselling.
– Candidates who have completed class 12 from open school or are private candidates will not be allowed to sit for the NEET exam.
– The Intermediate examination in science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and English would be compulsory.
– BSc examination from an Indian University provided that the candidates have passed the examination in at least two subjects consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology. The candidates should also have passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
NEET (UG) – 2023: Tie-breaking criteria for same score candidates
In case the same marks are scored by two or more candidates in NEET UG 2023, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied
– Candidates who score higher marks or percentage in Biology (Botany/Zoology).
– Candidates who score higher marks in chemistry.
– Candidates who score higher marks in physics.
– Candidates who have few incorrect answers than correct answers in all the subjects.
– Candidates who have the lowest proportion of incorrect responses to correct responses in Biology (Botany and Zoology).
– Candidates who have the lowest ratio of incorrect answers, in Chemistry, to correct answers.
– Candidates who have a lesser percentage of attempted incorrect answers in Physics.
– Candidate older in age.
– NEET application number in ascending number.
The above mentioned tie-breaker criteria is in the order of most important to less important.
NEET UG 2023 will help students get admission to medical institutes across the country. The NEET exam will be conducted in Indian cities and also in abroad. NEET 2023 UG results will be announced on the official website.
