Pay Matrix Level for Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023:
According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, those selected as Additional Assistant Director (Safety) post Appointment shall be entitled to Monthly Salary in the Pay Matrix Level 07 hereinunder:
Pay Matrix Level-07 (Rs.44900-142400) of Pay Matrix under 7th CPC
Upper Age Limits under Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023:
As per the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the following Category-wise and Reserved Community-specific Age Limits are prescribed:
1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed 30 Years as on the Closing Date 11.05.2023.
2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
3) For Age Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants, the Applicants should refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the “Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection” of the UPSC-issued Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
Eligibility Criteria for the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023:
The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential as per the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Applicants are as follows:

A) Educational Qualification(s):
Essential Qualification(s)
A. Educational: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Marine/Production/Industrial/ Instrumentation/ Civil Engineering/ Architecture/Textile/Textile Chemistry/Textile Technology/Computer Science/Electronics & Communication from any Accredited University /Institute; And
B. Experience: 01-Year’s Experience in handling various aspects of Industrial Safety in any Factory, Dock, Ship, Construction Site Or Physical and Chemical Testing of Textiles in an Industrial Concern Or Research Laboratory or any Technical Institution Or Organization Or in any Government Department dealing with the Administration of Factories Act 1948 (63 of 1948) or the Dock Workers (Safety, Health & Welfare) Act 1986 (54 of 1986) or the Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment Conditions of Services) Act 1996 (27 of 1996).
C: Desirable Qualification(s): Experience in Planning, Organizing and Coordinating of Research, Education, and Training Activities pertaining to Industrial Safety, Construction Safety and Dock Safety.
Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification with regard to Experience in respect of the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.
Selection Process under Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023:
Based on the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria also explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of the Applications received relatively in large number from the Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria for restricting the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Note-II: Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:
As has been explained in the Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:
i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:
a) Un-Reserved (UR) Category: Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks
b) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 50 Marks
c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks
d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.
ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
Application Fee for Ministry of Labour and Employment Recruitment 2023:
Following is the Category-wise Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:
I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.
II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
