The Delhi Mayor also informed all present that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has released a fund of Rs 400 crore for improving the infrastructure of MCD schools, which will be used for repairing school buildings, constructing new buildings, hiring security personnel in schools, as well as recruiting data entry operators for the schools.

Dr Shelly Oberoi also took this opportunity to remember Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s words, that society can only move forward through education.
Taking inspiration from the philosophy of Baba Saheb, she said that all have to work together for the all-around development of Delhi’s children because today’s children are tomorrow’s future.
She emphasised that the MCD will implement the Delhi government’s education model in corporation schools. The MCD is working on a plan to send teachers teaching in MCD schools outside Delhi for training, just like in the case of the teachers of the Delhi government, as teachers enable children to have a better and brighter future.
The mayor also said that it is very important to develop reading and mathematical skills in children from Classes 1 through 5 so that they do not face any kind of problems while moving to higher classes.
She finally concluded by saying that the Delhi Government, MCD, and SCERT are all working together for the successful realisation of Mission Buniyaad.
Special attention will be paid to the education of the girl child and the focus will be on developing the education model for MCD schools based on the successful education model of the Delhi government schools.
