Gandhi visited Kolar on April 16 after his visit was postponed at least three times.
Bengaluru: Given the Assembly elections in Karnataka, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hit the campaign trail on Sunday, April 23, TV9 Kannada reported. Gandhi is likely to take part in a series of rallies starting from the Vijayapura district.
Unconfirmed reports said that Gandhi will be in the poll-bound state for 10 days and will take part in 13 rallies. Congress is yet to issue an official confirmation on Gandhi’s plans.
Gandhi visited Kolar and Bidar on April 16 and 17 and campaigned for the party for the polls on May 10. Gandhi’s visit was delayed at least three times before the party decided on April 16.
He was supposed to be in Kolar on April 5. The event was then moved to April 9 and then to April 10. The party later announced that Gandhi will arrive in Kolar on April 16.
The results of the Assembly elections in Karnataka will be announced on May 13.
