JEE Main 2023 Answer Key Live: Provisional key out, objection window opens

All India ranks of JEE Main will be announced along with session 2 results. For candidates who have taken both sessions, their best scores out of the two shifts will be considered for the list. 

As per the NTA notice, to raise objections, a candidate has to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. 

After the window to raise objections to the JEE Main session 2 answer key is closed, subject experts will verify these feedback. If required, changes will be made in the final key. JEE Main result will be announced after the final answer key is released. 

NTA has invited objections from candidates to the provisional answer key on payment of ₹200 per question. The window will remain open till 5 pm on April 21.

NTA has released JEE Mains question paper and candidates response sheets along with answer key. All these information can be checked and downloaded from the official site of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Paper 2B (B. Planning) along with the question papers with recorded responses on the website. 

Candidates, who are not satisfied with the Answer Key, may challenge the same by paying a fee of ₹200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per question challenged as a non-refundable processing fee.

As per NTA officials, JEE Main session 2 answer key will be released today, April 19. Candidates can check it on jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main session 2 answer key will be released today. Candidates can check it on jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

The provisional answer key of JEE Main session 2 will be issued today, April 19, according to a senior NTA official. 

These are the login credentials required to check JEE Main results:

1. Application number.
2. Date of birth. 

The top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify in JEE Mains can take JEE Advanced. However, it does not necessarily mean that all candidates whose JEE Main ranks are within 2,50,000 are eligible for JEE Advanced. The 2.5 lakh candidates qualifying for JEE Advanced include candidates of all categories and at times, someone with a rank above 2,50,000 may also become eligible, if s/he scores equal to or above the cut-off marks set for his/her category.

Therefore, Candidates should check the cut-off score of their categories to understand if they are eligible for the IIT JEE test.  

If a question of JEE Main paper 1 is dropped,

For MCQs: Four marks to all those who appeared in that paper, irrespective of whether it has been attempted or not.

For numerical questions: Four marks to those who have attempted the question.  

The JEE Main answer key which will be released next is provisional. Candidates are allowed to send their feedback on it, which is then reviewed by subject experts. Once all grievances are resolved, the final answer key is prepared, which is used for calculation of marks. 

To raise objections to the JEE Main session 2 preliminary answer key and recorded responses, candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee for each question. More details will be shared along with answer keys.

JEE Main exam 2023 provisional answer key will likely be released in a day or two. The results will be announced after the objection window closes.

NTA has not published JEE Main session 2 answer key yet. It is expected soon on jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

After JEE Main result is announced, candidates who meet eligibility conditions can apply for JEE Advanced. They can also participate in state, institute level counselling for admission to Engineering courses. 

Those who want to take admission to IIITs, NITs and other GFTIs on the basis of JEE Main score will have to apply for JoSAA and CSAB counselling, which will begin after JEE Advanced results. 

If a question is dropped from the JEE Main answer key, full marks will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not.

JEE Main paper 1 is held in multiple shifts in both sessions. To ensure that a candidate is not at a disadvantage due to higher level of difficulty of the paper in a particular shift, JEE Main scores of all shifts and all students are normalised and published as NTA scores. 

JEE Mains Answer Key 2023 can be checked on the official site of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in and also on NTA website at nta.ac.in. 

NTA will first release provisional answer key of JEE Main. After that, a window will be given during which candidates can challenge the provisional key and recorded responses displayed on the exam website. 

If a candidate appears in both sessions of JEE Main in a year, his/her best score out of the two will be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list. 

Along with JEE Main session 2 results, all India ranks of candidates will be announced. This rank will be mentioned on scorecards. 

The provisional answer key of JEE Main will be available only for candidates. They will have to login to jeemain.nta.nic.in with application number and password to check it.

 The online processing fee for each challenged question is Rs. 200, which is nonrefundable.

The top 2,50,000 successful candidates in B.E./B.Tech. Paper of JEE (Main) – 2023 exam are eligible to take JEE Advanced exam.

The NTA’s decision regarding the challenges shall be final, and no additional communication will be allowed. NTA won’t give each candidate a personal update on the outcome of their challenge.
