Chinese smartphone maker Vivo’s spin-off brand iQoo launched the Neo 7 smartphone in India in February. The company is now expected to expand its mid-range Neo lineup with two new smartphones. The iQoo Neo 8 series is likely to comprise two new models, iQoo Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro which are rumoured to launch in China in the coming months. These two smartphones are said to come with the model numbers V2301A and V2302A, respectively. According to a report by GizmoChina, the Neo 8 Pro has been certified by China’s 3C authority. The 3C listing has revealed the expected battery and charging details of both smartphones in the lineup.

Rumours suggest that the iQoo Neo 8 Pro may sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that is expected to support a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For added security, the upcoming smartphone is also expected to feature an under-display fingerprint scanner.
iQoo Neo 8 Pro is also likely to be the first smartphone to come powered by the Dimensity 9200+ mobile platform. MediaTek has also promised improved performance and power efficiency for this chipset. Along with this, the SoC is expected to be coupled with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Both smartphones in the lineup are likely to pack a 5000mAh battery unit that may support 120W fast charging. The iQoo Neo 8 Pro is likely to run a layer of OriginOS 3 based on Android 13 OS.
