According to the rumours, it will function the same as the Apple Watch Ultra’s Action button, so the idea is that it can be programmed to do different tasks.
Meanwhile, the solid-state volume button, which would have been powered by a second Haptic Engine, has been shelved due to technical complexities. Now, the new renders show iPhone 15 Pro with the traditional mechanical volume buttons, with different pieces for up and down.
In the earlier renders, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were shown to have large protruding camera modules. However, the new render suggests that the camera might not protrude as much as was expected before. Although, iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a slightly protruding camera module than the iPhone 15 Pro.
Apart from these changes, the renders show thinner bezels, little more rounded corners, and USB-C ports on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models.
The iPhone 15 series is expected to launch later this year in September.
