Samsung has recently started rolling out the highly anticipated Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Currently, the update is only available in India and the US. If you own a Galaxy Z Fold 5 in either of these countries, you can enroll your phone into the One UI 6.0 Beta Program through the Samsung Members app.

The first beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 introduces various new features and improvements. With a firmware version of F946BXXU1ZWJ2, the update is quite substantial at nearly 2.7GB. Therefore, it is recommended to download the update using a Wi-Fi connection to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted download process. In addition to the latest Android 14 operating system, the update also brings the October 2023 security patch to enhance the device’s overall security.

To check for the update on your Galaxy Z Fold 5 after enrolling in the One UI 6.0 Beta Program, simply navigate to the Settings menu, then select Software Update, and tap on Download and Install. This will initiate the installation process, ensuring that you can experience the new features and enhancements as soon as possible.

It is worth noting that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is the first foldable device from Samsung to receive the One UI 6.0 beta update. It is expected that the update will also be made available for other foldable models such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Additionally, Samsung may release the update for previous models including the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the upcoming weeks.
