Apple will officially unveil its 2023 range of iPhones in September this year. It’s not unusual for these closely guarded secrets to make their way to the leaks, either in the form of CAD renders or sometimes even analyst notes. Nevertheless, the latest iPhone 15 rumour pertains to the top-of-the-line Pro Max version.
A well-known source of leaks, @Tech_Reve, has contradicted previous reports of Apple using the Sony IMX903 camera sensor on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Instead, the tipster claims, the manufacturer will use this camera with the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year. If true, this could be a big setback to fans hoping for a significant camera upgrade on the high-end iPhone models this year.

Let’s not forget, however, that we’re still months away from Apple’s official event marking the iPhone 15’s arrival. This makes it hard to confirm any of this at the moment, as Apple is surely not going to say much on this front until at least September. Keeping this in mind, we suggest you take this new revelation with a grain of salt.
iPhone 15 lineup rumoured specifications
Apple is expected to make some big changes across the board, starting with the base models — iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. As per leaks, the company is going to offer Dynamic Island across all iPhone models, thus putting an end to the exclusivity enjoyed by iPhone 14 Pro models.
Meanwhile, some reports have talked about Apple using solid-state/haptic buttons to replace the volume and power buttons. The mute button could also be gearing up for a revamp of sorts, though the specifics of this are currently unknown.
Perhaps the most important feature addition to this year’s iPhone lineup is the USB-C port. Following repeated pressure from European regulators, the company may finally decide to bite the bullet and offer the widely used connectivity port on its next-gen iPhones.
